Factory Made Multi Link (FM-ML)

The factory made trunk cable systems in copper connectivity are divided into two groups: single link and multi link

The factory made single link products basically consist of a keystone module terminated on both sides of an installation cable (horizontal cable). In order that they form a single link – bundling several of these single links to a trunk cable is generally offered – typically 6 links in a braided sleeve.

Whereas a factory made multi link product is realised by terminating a multiple cassette e.g. 6x RJ45 on both sides of a high pair trunk cable. In order that a multi link is turned out which for instance has advantages in the fire load or cable diameter.
